DIY Wooden Headboard With Sconce Light

Chic On A Shoestring Decorating features a train themed boy's room with several train themed decorating ideas, but the headboard caught my attention.  The wooden headboard incorporates a bedtime light by installing a simple outdoor fixture at the top of the headboard.  Sometimes the simplest idea is the smartest.

Room Study : Style, Space, and Function

This bedroom / office / guest room, by Katie Ridder, is so well planned.  The Styling - the cool blue and green color scheme is both relaxing and calming as is the straight, tailored, and uncluttered lines.  Space and Function - the upholstered daybed with trundle bed allows room a sofa and with built in desk and cabinets the room still seems open and bright.  The swing arm wall sconce is a smart choice for lighting saving space as opposed to using a table and table lamp.  Love the glossy ceiling maximizing room light.  Such a great room full of so many decorating ideas and tips.

Simple DIY Pegboard Headboard

Love this kind of stuff.  Shelves, organizers, places to store things - love it.  This simple DIY pegboard headboard is awesome.  I could put my books up above the bed so my dogs don't eat them while I'm away.  Yes Poncho, I'm talking to you!  Love this idea.  All of the materials needed you can find at your local hardware store.
