Decorate Like It's Vacation Time All The Time

This home located on the coast of the Baltic Sea in Sweden is so relaxing.  It could just as easily be on a lake anywhere.  Love the faux library wall paper.  And, the patio would be fabulous at breakfast time or for entertaining company anytime.  Living here would be like a continuous vacation.  With simple clean styling and a casual air this home was made for relaxation.

Room Study : Style, Space, and Function

This bedroom / office / guest room, by Katie Ridder, is so well planned.  The Styling - the cool blue and green color scheme is both relaxing and calming as is the straight, tailored, and uncluttered lines.  Space and Function - the upholstered daybed with trundle bed allows room a sofa and with built in desk and cabinets the room still seems open and bright.  The swing arm wall sconce is a smart choice for lighting saving space as opposed to using a table and table lamp.  Love the glossy ceiling maximizing room light.  Such a great room full of so many decorating ideas and tips.

Transitional Michigan Avenue Condo

High above the windy city, rests this relaxed space.  Interior Designer Kara Mann creates a steel colored palette with rich gray chenille fabrics and champagne walls.  Clean and edited, the dining chairs are transitional takes on classic frames.  The neutral palette and edited space keeps this a calm retreat from the busy city.
