Simple DIY : Golf Themed Decorations

Here is a simple DIY golf themed decoration perfect for a golf themed get together.   It can be used for golf tournaments or golf themed parties.  So simple, so easy : gather golf balls and golf tees to place in apothecary containers.  Use green construction paper, the paper featured came from a package of multi-shade of green, to create a golf green on the wall.  Clipboards are featured here, but you can also just tape the construction paper to the wall.  Place a white circle on one of the greens to create the golf ball. You can also create an AstroTurf runner.  An AstroTurf runner can be used for several occasions like football games, soccer games, and Easter.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Time

It is that time of year again, yes, time for Ugly Christmas Sweater Parties.  Now, when you go looking for an ugly Christmas sweater the best haunts for finding ugly sweaters are:  first and foremost your Mother's closet (she may have secret or two), then there is Saver's (if you don't have a Saver's store nearby, it's like taking a Goodwill and TJ Max and mashing them together), and of course there is always Goodwill.  So, Happy Hunting.  And, I wish you an Ugly Christmas Sweater.

Simple DIY Fourth Of July Crafts

With this year's heat wave and dry conditions, many neighborhoods will have to skip celebrating the Fourth of July with the traditional firework grandeur.  This year plan to put your bang into festive Fourth of July decorations.  Create simple DIY nostalgic Independence Day paper creations made from crape paper and ribbon in lieu of burning down your neighborhood.  Google "nostalgic Fourth of July images" and create streamers, party favors, and place settings for the big cook out.  Be creative and have fun and have a happy and safe Fourth of July!

DIY: Water Bottle Flower Chandeliers

We recently received these wonderful, large recycling bins in our neighborhood.  Now that I have all these large bins it feels like the amount of my recycling has - well - multiplied.  So, if you are like me and have a ton of plastic bottles, here's a crafty DIY for making "flower chandeliers" from recycled water bottles.  Anthropology did this for window displays and Oh, Happy Day has done a great step by step instruction on how to recreate the look.  These could be amazing for decorations at your next party.  So crafty.

DIY: Backyard Movie Night

The beginning of Summer, the evenings are still breezy and cool and lighting bugs fill the night sky.  This is the perfect time to have a Backyard Movie Night.  Simply stretch an ironed sheet with simple poles or board.  Gather lawn furniture, bring out some seating from the house, or spread out some quilts and make a cozy seating arrangement for your guests.  Also, serve a selection of concessions like candies and flavored popcorns.  Be creative and enjoy the movie.
