Incredible Color Film Footage Of 1927 London

Take a tour through 1927 London with this incredible color footage shot by early British film pioneer Claude Frisse-Greene.  The series of travelogues use the color process of his father William Claude Frisse-Greene, the cinematographer, who was experimenting with color.  The footage is quite poetic and with the music and editing seems very contemporary and tangible.  Check it out.  Music by Jonquil and Yann Tiersen.

Artists To Check Out: Dillon Marsh - Invasive Species

Photographer Dillon Marsh Invasive Species image series follows the South African movement of disquising cell phone towers as living trees.  In 1996, apparently over night, a palm tree appeared in Cape Town.  Marsh has followed the the tower trees ever since.  Check him out.

Photography Prodigy Alex Stoddard

It's not often we see break out artists. This young up and comer is a photographer to keep your eye on, at eighteen he has already worked for Dolce and Gabbana, Universal Republic, and has exhibited his work in Paris and Melbourne.  Alex Stoddard started taking pictures in 2010 and has become quite the shutterbug.  The featured photos are all self portraits of Stoddard himself.  Check him out on Facebook or on his blog.
