Ulyana Sergeenko Couture Spring 2013 Paris

If the story book does not beat you over the head, this collection by designer Ulyana Sergeenko, from the 2013 Paris Couture Spring Fashion Week, was heavily inspired by the Mark Twain era of literature.  There is even a Tom Sawyer garment paired with a sling shot.  Many a Scarlet O'Hara and even some Little House on the Prairie strolls down the runway in this beautiful collection of period inspired garments.  Beautiful.

Valentino Fall/Winter 2013-14 Paris Fashion

Valentino Fall/Winter 2013-14 Runway Show during Paris Fashion Week.  Love the brocades and of course the dress silhouettes.  Love the cobalt blue.  However chic, the models do look a little Wednesday Adams, but I adore Valentino.  Look for the Blue Pant Suit!  Loved it.  Music - "Different Pulses" by Asaf Avidan.

Valentino Paris Couture 2013

Valentino shows Couture Collection in Paris.  The collection of brocade and architectural pierces are beautiful.  The sheer brocade looks like iron work while the solid brocade looks like wedding cake.  The architectural details look effortless and the collection has iconic silhouettes.  Love.

 

At Home In Sweet Paris

Stylist Katia Graeff shares her Paris apartment. This sweet space is like a kid in an ice cream store with its sherbet hues and youthful style. Although a little tattered around the edges (adds character), this cozy home is full of personality and cheerful decorating ideas.

Jean Paul Gaultier Ready To Wear Spring/Summer 2013

Jean Paul Gaultier pulled inspiration from the 80's, for his Ready To Wear Spring/Summer 2013 collection, by styling his models to look like Pop Legends Annie Lennox, Madonna, David Bowie, Grace Jones, Michael Jackson, Sade, and Boy George to name a few.  Some critics have called the show sadly nostalgic, gimmick, and others called it costume fashion.  However you view it, the collection is classic Gaultier.  Check it out.

Interiors: Quirky Paris Home

I love quirky pieces, in moderation of course.  This Paris home owner goes to the extreme with so many modern quirky pieces it makes you wonder, "is this Bjork's house?"  My personal favorites are the bath tub shaped like a boat and the bedroom ceiling covered with globes.  Oh, Bjork.
