Still Funny: Stranded

Another hilarious classic, while Charlene, Julia, and Mary Jo get the flu on a trip to St. Louis, a snowstorm forces Suzanne and Anthony to share a motel room in Tennessee.

One See's It The Other Doesn't

Another Classic.  Suzanne returns from a week-long stay at a spa where she spent $2,000 and is upset when the other women say she looks the same. She proclaims that any man would appreciate her radiance. The next man who enters Sugarbaker's & Associates is a client who Suzanne doesn't know is blind, and she tries to show off for him. The other women introduce him as Danny Hedgecock, which he amusedly follows with "...Blind Guy". Suzanne is relieved to find out she's not losing her touch. She's soon surprised to discover that the man—a rich, intelligent humanitarian—is attracted to her. She and the other women have a hard time accepting that anyone is attracted to her personality. Mary Jo struggles to figure out how to design the man's house, since she can't show him samples and sketches.

Still Funny: Designing Women - Miss Trial

What a hilarious scene, Dixie Carter (Julia) was one of a kind.  As the character Julia Sugarbaker she was a powerful force, fierce, yet still classy and refined.  We always were happy when Julia would get the opportunity to really use her vocabulary and tear someone apart.  In one of my favorite episodes "Miss Trial," Charlene (played by Jean Smart) gets Julia sequestered during jury duty by turning Julia in to the judge for hearing information about the trial.  Not to miss her scheduled dinner with Jimmy Carter, Julia bullies the jury to hurry up and make a verdict.  Classic.

Designing Women: Unknown Talents

Julia and friends help Mary Jo when she is short handed at her part time job at the Burger Guy.  The others discover Julia has an unknown talent.  Enjoy.
