Frank Lloyd Wright Millard House

View one of Frank Lloyd Wright's most poetic works, the Millard House.  Built in 1923 and located at 645 Prospect Crescent, Pasadena, California.  The house's design was ridiculed by the critics of the time, however the house is a testament to Wright's vision.  Located in a neighborhood that is aging graciously the Millard House stands timeless.  This would stand true against many contemporary structures as well.  The 4,300 sq. usonian house cost $17,000 to build in 1923 and is currently on the market for $5,000,000.

Pink House Inspired By Hello Kitty

This Hello Kitty House is for rent in Taiwan.  If you are not familiar with Hello Kitty, she is a popular Japanese merchandising character.  The entire house, inside and out, is adorned, inspired, and decorated with 'Hello Kitty.'  It's a little girl's dream and a neighbor's nightmare. "Honey, look who just moved in next door, it's Hello Kitty!"  Can you imagine?

Architecture: Multi-Level Open House

Personally, don't know if I could live in a totally transparent building, however the owner of this house designed by Tokyo-based studio Sou Fujimoto calls it home. With no walls and ladder like stairs this unusual multi-leveled house is completely transparent with pull back curtains for sleeping and privacy.  How comfortable would you be with a see through house?

Architecture: Wildcat Ridge, Aspen

The Wildcat Ridge Residence in Aspen, Colorado was designed by New York city-based studio Voorsanger Architects. 

The luxury contemporary home was bought by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich in 2008 for a mere $36.375 million… hmm, chump change.

The structure slopes upward with the mountain with a growing ceiling height.  Beginning at 12 feet the ceilings rise up the mountain to 30 feet allowing for a spectacular mountain view.
