Today's Pick : DIY Distressed Dresser


Love this casual, shabby dresser.  This resale find has been painted with a white paint then simply distressed by sanding to reveal the previous worn finish and scratches.  They really have done a great job refinishing the chest and the turquois knobs are a nice touch.

Simple DIY : Confetti Walls


Decorating idea : Create sparkling confetti walls with a simple and sophisticated DIY.  Take metallic paint and apply paint to wall using a round sponge (like a shoe polish applicator).  Create patterns, be organic, it doesn't matter, let yourself go wild.  The finished effect looks like a confetti falling.

Girl Fake It! : Faux Painting


If you don't have it, girl, fake it.  This may be a little more difficult than a simple DIY and it may require a friend's artistic skills, but, hey, an offer of some dinner or return the favor and ta-da - something new.  There is no faux pas in faux painting that special piece.
