What is it?

I'm cleaning the cheese dip out of my crock pot from New Year's Eve ... don't judge me.

What in the hell is Velveeta made out of?  It looks exactly the same as the night I cooked it (I mean, ... warmed it up).  I know, I shouldn't act like that, because I can put away a whole pizza by myself.  Its just that, I'm amazed by this mystery substance; cheese shouldn't be able to just sit on a shelf, cheese shouldn't have a shelf life.

However, this picture does look like it could have possibly come from a cook book.  If it had come from a cook book the caption would read, "then take your hobbit hand and place the lid on the pot."  Needless to say, yours truly won't be modeling Lee Press On Nails anytime soon.
