I was not able to marathon watch the new Netflix series Orange Is The New Black this weekend, but I could have. Making it more than half the way, it is easy to say, "this show is sucker punch good."
Orange Is the New Black is the American Netflix original comedy-drama series, created by Jenji Kohan(creator of Weeds) and was produced by Lionsgate Television. It is based on Piper Kerman's memoir Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison. Wikipedia
Black is smart, well written, and fast paced for an hour long show with no commercials. The mammoth ensemble cast works amazingly together where even the smallest characters shine. The show is gritty, funny, and tender. Critics are calling the show "fresh," probably because for a show that isn't even on broadcast television, it is actually worth watching. Check it out.
