Fearless DIY blogger Haeley, from Improvised Design, goes commando on an indoor rug. She breathes new life into her old indoor rug by spray painting stripes on the rug and the placing it outside. Now, simply painting a rug doesn't make it an outdoor rug but using an indoor rug outside is a perfectly viable option to save money by reusing something you already own. It will wear much quicker than normal, but reusing something is better than simply throwing it away. So, grab some paint and masking tape and go to town! Find indoor and outdoor rugs at Lewis Lighting and Home.
Note : that painting the rug fibers will stiffen the rug considerably making what was once a soft rug feel more like a sisal rug or AstroTurf. Not necessarily a bad thing for outside but something to be aware of before painting.
