Letting go of the precious 'little girl' room you always wanted can be hard for a mom; but, for a young lady, finally getting your 'big girl' room is a big deal. I had a blast this weekend traveling to Houston to revamp, 10 year old, Jenny's room. Gone was the pastel green walls, the baby dolls, and the lace. Welcome in the Teen Beat and the posters. We painted the walls a bold lilac and stenciled zebra print with a deeper lavender. Due to allergies we took down the canopy from the bed and replaced it with some cool multi-color beads. With some new light fixtures and refurbished furniture finds (like the chartreuse dresser and pink canopy bed) this room went from precious to cool. Thank you Jenny for letting Uncle C.
