Designed for a family of four in Chicago, interior designer Melanie Elston says her only criteria was "no beige" and "joy." This interior caught my eye for the wonderful multicolor palette. The feel is open, airy, not dated but worn - some of the colors look old and I like that. The rooms definitely do not feel over done with sparse furnishings. It's a fresh take aged look.
