What We're Listening To: Milo Greene

This group was listed as one of Esquire's "Bands To Listen To In 2012."  The fresh sound of Milo Greene is comprised of five singers who focus on vocal harmonies with light accompaniment.  Reminiscent of bands like The Beatles and Fleetwood Mac, Milo Greene is a collaboration featuring the group as a whole.  Their detailed harmonies are rich, haunting, and lush.

The band explains there is no person named "Milo Greene" yet the name sake derived from a pen name they gave a make believe manager/booking agent.  To sound more professional and book their earlier shows, the band used to contact venues as "Milo Greene, calling for such and such..."  The pen name worked and they decided to call themselves "Milo Greene."

Look for them performing on David Letterman this month.  And, their self titled debut album Milo Greene goes on sale today.

Watch the band perform an acoustic rendition of my favorite song (at the moment) Don't You Give Up On Me.  Performed at Fingerprints in Long Beach.
