The creator of spooky thrillers, M. Night Shyamalan, shows his calmer domestic life to Architectural Digest. A far cry from the dark and terrifying worlds portrayed at the movies, Shyamalan's home is a 1937 Georgian Revival estate outside of Philadelphia near where he grew up. Interior designer David Kleinberg was hired on a casual basis to bring in key pieces of furniture, including the library’s upholstered seating, the master suite’s four-poster, and the stair hall’s gilded chandelier. The family, however, wasn’t interested in rooms that were “done.” Rather, they desired decorating the home gradually over time.
