DIY: Fixing Wood Dents

Whether its a piece of furniture or your hard wood floors - dents happen - they just happen.  When you have a dent you can't live with here's the fix for wood dents.

Things you will need:
An iron
Paper Towels
Water
(maybe) Sand Paper
(maybe) Wood Oil

First, figure out what type of finish you are working with - some finishes turn white or cloudy when heat is applied - ALWAYS TEST A HIDDEN SPOT BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO REPAIR DENT.

Now, dampen the dent with water and place a damp paper towel over the dent.  Using your iron (on high with heavy steam) use circular motions over the dent.  DO NOT leave the iron in one place for too long or you will have an iron print.  Circular Motions - checking ever so often until dent has lifted (2-5 minutes).

This dent was deep and there is discoloration.  Use light sand paper and clean up the dent and replace finish or use some wood oil.

Pretty cool huh?
